The Year Begins

Many new exciting things will happen this year. I'm planning them. I'm engrossed in them. They're taking on a whole new meaning with each passing day. Every new year there's the chance to reflect on past and future, and the crystal ball says my future will be one hell of a ride.

New updates on the website are going on. Keep on checking the gallery for more pretty pictures, and better ways of seeing/finding them.

Merry Christmas!

Thank you all for your support of me during this holiday season. I am excited about all the art work I did; the commissions, ornaments, gift tags. In addition to that, I started my newest show at the YogaLife Yoga Studio on Queen Anne! So I have been quite busy and very happy and look forward to having the enthusiasm I have experienced for my artwork continue on into the new year!

Another note, I will soon be launching my new studio name! Keep on checking in here regularly for more updates. Oh, and right after christmas I'll be posting the photos of the work I did for christmas presents (I don't want people knowing ahead of time, you know?) So, there will be LOTS of new photos, like, sometime next week. And now, for the link to my gallery...

Happy Season of Holidays!

In addition to my collectable and unique pieces of wall art, I am offering Henna Art Ornaments this year! Right now, if you'd like to order a custom ornament, click on the tree to the right to contact me about sizes, shapes, colors, prices. Shortly I will have a page explaining it all. In the meantime, if you're interested, I'll just have to e-mail you back with all the info. To visit the gallery of my "fine-art", the link is just below this long drawn-out post...

Hello everyone. I'm so sorry I haven't been faithfully updating this website. My computer was inexplicably rendered inoperable for quite some time, and I have been re-learning how to entertain myself through means other then the internet.

That being said, I'll now direct you to my YouTube channel where you can enjoy videos of me performing at spin the bottle and other venues, my christmas tree, the stupid drivers in Seattle, and even my dad pretending to pick his nose. What fun there is to be had on this crazy and wonderful website!

(Obviously my attempts to ween myself from the web failed. But at least my failure is then entertaining for all y'all out there!)

Thank you to all who came to see my debut solo bellydance performance! I had a great time, and wonderful feedback from you all. I'm really looking forward to expanding my bellydance experience. For those who were curious, the music I performed to was a medley of three pieces of music: "Missing" by Beck, "Drum Solo" from Spinning by Amany and Said, and "Voglia Di Dance All Night" by Eiffel 65. The first dance featured the amazing bellydance prop called "Wings Of Isis." Shiny!

On June 19, 2006, Sassy died in her sleep at the ripe old age of 12. We got her when she was 4, and I had the pleasure and honor to watch her develop into a self-assured, confident, feisty sassy dog. She had her pill twice a day like a good dog. She loved squeeky toys, she loved to go for walks at Bitter Lake Park, and she absolutely loved to sit on a warm lap.

She spent her last day at the Swensson home, with the family she adored, and had a fabulous time. She died in her sleep, lying beside the love of her life.

She was a wonderful companion and a great pet. We’ll miss you, Sassydoo.

I've got a couple of shows coming up, both of the "Variety" type. ("variety" = fun!)

First, I'm performing Friday May 19th at the Solstice Cafe Variety Salon, located on University and 41st in the U district. Show starts at 7pm, and it's FREE!!! Come see the Ave before it's totally taken over by vendors, mummers, food, and the masses of Seattle the following day (University Street Fair, May 20th-21st.)

Next, I'm doing my every-other-month gig at the ever popular "Spin The Bottle" on June 2nd, at 11pm. I'll be performing this month on the piano. This show never fails to entertain!

Ladies and Gentlemen, they did it again. I'm talking about "Awesome", the seven man band of amazing talent, intellect, and good looks of whom I've been a raging fan for many months. Their talent, intellect and good looks have been molded into a fabulous show, "noSIGNAL" which is playing tonight (May 5th) and tomorrow night (May 6th) at On The Boards in Seattle. I cannot emphasize how much you need to go see this show. It is quirky, (quarky), powerful, fun, and (insert adjective). The press blub they sent out says it's primarily about bees, but also about "the hive mentality", computers, systemic breakdown, cell suicide, garbage collection, unrequited love, space, "memory leakage" and paranoia. They've recaptured the surreal yet reasonable feel of "Delaware" and made it more subtle, creating an actual, followable plot, making you strive internally to grasp the nuances and messages.

The show was packed last night, and I'm expecting it will be more so tonight and tomorrow. Here's a place where you can buy tickets and read a few great reviews. Please PLEASE go to this show. You won't regret it.
